Nunca ha sido tan fácil realizar pruebas de detección de ITS. Puede realizar la prueba en la clínica, en casa o utilizar una prueba rápida.
Pruebas en la clínica
Se recomienda realizar pruebas en la clínica si tiene síntomas o es la primera vez que se realiza una prueba de ITS. Se le realizará un examen completo y se le realizarán pruebas de gonorrea, sífilis, clamidia y hepatitis. El Servicio de Salud para Hombres Gay (GMHS) de Dublín ofrece servicios completos de detección y asesoramiento. Los servicios de GMHS están abiertos y gratuitos para hombres homosexuales y bisexuales, hombres que tienen sexo con hombres y la comunidad trans.

Pruebas caseras de ITS
Ya se pueden solicitar kits de pruebas caseras de ITS gratuitos en www.sh24.ie para cualquier persona mayor de 17 años que viva en la República de Irlanda. Si vive en Irlanda del Norte, visite https://sh24.org.uk para solicitar su kit de prueba de ITS en casa.
Ahora también puede solicitar un kit de prueba de hepatitis C gratuito al HSE.
También puede solicitar una autoprueba de VIH a MPOWER todos los martes a partir de las 13:00 horas. Este servicio gratuito está disponible para hombres homosexuales y bisexuales, hombres que tienen sexo con hombres (gbMSM), incluidos hombres trans y personas no binarias.
Pruebas rápidas
Las pruebas rápidas son un método de prueba que proporciona resultados rápidos, normalmente en cuestión de minutos o en un corto período de tiempo, en comparación con las pruebas tradicionales de laboratorio que pueden tardar horas o días en estar disponibles.

MPOWER
El programa MPOWER es un conjunto de intervenciones a nivel comunitario impulsadas por pares que tienen como objetivo lograr una reducción en la adquisición de VIH e ITS y una mejora general de la salud y el bienestar sexual entre homosexuales, bisexuales y hombres que tienen sexo con hombres (gbMSM).
MPOWER ofrece un servicio de prueba rápida del VIH que está disponible en bares, clubes, saunas y centros comunitarios gay de toda la ciudad de Dublín. Este es un servicio sin cita previa y no requiere cita previa.
